Background Information

Alert Display DiagramSensor Health Indication

A 2mm green LED indicates sensor health by blinking with each update received from the sensor.

Audible Alert

Alert Lamp

A 22mm dia. LED lights in unison with the audible alert notes.

Radiation Hazard Indicators

Each RDU-18 radiation threshold is indicated with a 5mm LED on the Alert Display.  From left to right the LEDs indicate:

Indicator Color
Hazard Level
Yellow
Indicates the presence of unusual radiation above the statistical(1x10-6) false alarm threshold for local background.
Orange
Low Radiation Hazard. Long term exposure, on the order of days, will exceed regulatory limits for the public.
